a republic with a president.
Head of state is a president, who is selected
for one term of office by five years directly by
the people and can be red-elect maximally twice.
235 members are selected for four years in parliament,
the highest advice.
Most important political parties are the citizen
union, the nationaldemocratic party and the union
of the renascence.
The national territory is arranged administratively
into 79 districts and circle-free cities.
Georgien is member of the community of independent
States (GUS).

movement, democrat.
The attorney is since 25 January 2004 the president
of Georgia.
